Addiction Recovery is a Science

March 20, 2008

Addiction recovery is a science. It is based in years of experience helping those in need of drug or alcohol rehabilitation. No one ever hopes for another person to struggle with addiction. You can thankful, however, for those that suffered before you. They have laid the foundation that makes drug treatment program successful for so many like you today. We know that you are unique. That no addict before you, or any that will come after you, are exactly like you. But their experiences, both in use and in recovery, can help you find drug rehabilitation.

We do not run addicts through a preset routine. No addiction treatment program has any real chance of success if it isn’t tailored to each addict. We will take the time to learn about you. We will assist you in establishing a drug treatment program that offers you the most realistic chance at success.

Of course a lot of this getting to know you will involve your drug use. Your length and frequency of use, as well as the types of drugs you used will all be covered. More important though will be us getting to know you outside of your addiction.

Are you a parent; how will contact from your children affect your recovery? Are you a minor; how has your relationship with your parents been? Do you see that ultimately they want what is best for you even if it doesn’t always feel that way. How are your social skills; Often times the person in need of addiction treatment turned to drugs as a social crutch, would counseling that focused on social interaction be a benefit to you?

These are just a few of the areas that we might want to address. It is all about making your addiction recovery a reality. The more personal your drug rehabilitation, the more realistic your lifelong rehabilitation.
